Welcome to New Partner Union Bank & Trust
OMAHA (January 1, 2025) – The Nebraska Golf Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Union Bank & Trust, a bank headquartered in Lincoln with several branches across Nebraska. Union Bank & Trust is now the Official Bank of the Nebraska Golf Association.
The partnership provides support to NebGolf and its mission to uphold and promote the game of golf and its values to all golfers in Nebraska. NebGolf is a non-profit and utilizes partnerships like this to continue to provide services to its 31,000+ individual members and 167 member clubs across the state. Along with those services, NebGolf supports several good-for-the-game initiatives like Youth on Course and Nebraska Junior Golf.
"We are very excited to partner with UBT," NebGolf Executive Director Craig Ames said. "Aligning our organization with companies that have a long history in our state, and a great reputation to go along with it, is important to us. UBT has both, and we're grateful for this relationship where we can work to add value for both their customers and our members."
UBT's history, much like NebGolf's, dates back more than 100 years when Farmer's State Bank was chartered in 1917. The initial branch was the first Lincoln bank located south of O Street. Eventually, the bank was renamed Union Bank & Trust, and as of June 30, 2024, bank assets stood at $8.5 billion, with trust assets at $51.1 billion. Longtime President and CEO Angie Muhleisen retired early in 2024, and her son, Jason Muhleisen, now leads UBT's 1,000-plus employees.

"We’re excited to partner with NebGolf to support the programs and competitions it offers to golfers of all ages, and especially those who are just getting started."
The Lincoln Journal Star named UBT as a winner in several categories of its annual Lincoln's Choice Awards in 2024. It was the 13th year in a row that UBT earned top honors in multiple categories, including Best Bank, Best Work Environment, Best Customer Service, Best Financial Planner, and Best Place to Work.
