PGA Tour Winner and Nebraska Golf Hall of Famer
OMAHA (April 7, 2025) – PGA Tour Winner and Nebraska Golf Hall of Famer Tom Sieckmann of Omaha joined the NebGolf Podcast for a special interview with NebGolf board member John Knicely.
The NebGolf Podcast is presented by partners OrthoNebraska and Union Bank and Trust.
The two talked about Sieckmann's career, starting with his junior golf days, to collegiate golf at Nebraska and then Oklahoma State, and then into the professional ranks.
Sieckmann told stories of his time playing professional golf overseas in the 1970s and 1980s. He talked about his win on the PGA Tour in 1988, where he defeated Mark Wiebe in a playoff.
Sieckmann is one of a few Nebraskans to have played in The Masters, and reminisced about the two times he competed at Augusta National in 1989 and 1991.
