UNL Turfgrass Professor Earns USGA Green Section Award
OMAHA (March 15, 2023) – Roch Gaussoin, Ph.D., a professor and extension specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, joined the NebGolf Podcast to talk about the UNL Turfgrass Program and the work that led to his USGA Green Section Award last month.
Gaussoin has dedicated nearly 20 years to researching critical aspects of putting green construction and management. Gaussoin and his team are to thank for innovating the aerification process to have less of an impact on play and a faster healing time. He received the USGA Green Section award last month for his work in the field.
On the podcast, he also talks about the dry winter issues from last year, and what golfers can expect after a much more favorable winter this year.
