Teams Set for 49th Nebraska Cup Matches

Matches to be Conducted Friday at Lochland Country Club

OMAHA (July 15, 2020) – The Nebraska Golf Association and the Nebraska PGA Section are pleased to announce their lineups for the 49th Nebraska Cup Matches to be played July 16 at Lochland Country Club in Hastings.

The event annually pits the state’s best amateur golfers versus the state’s top professionals in both Four-Ball and Singles matches. After a 46.5-25.5 win by the PGA last year at Bent Tree Golf Club, the Nebraska PGA extended their lead in the series 27-21.

The battle for the Nebraska Cup begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the Morning Four-Ball Matches. The event concludes with Afternoon Singles Matches, expected to start around 2:30 p.m. Pairings for the afternoon session will be selected over lunch.

About the NGA
The Nebraska Golf Association, founded in 1966, is comprised of all members of public and private clubs and/or municipal or regional golf associations which utilize an approved handicap service recognized by the USGA and provided by the NGA. Our mission is to uphold and promote the game of golf and its values to all golfers in Nebraska. Among the duties of the Association include governance of member clubs and service as their handicapping and course rating authority, conduct of state golf championships, local USGA qualifying & other notable competitions, promotion of junior golf, presentation of worthwhile educational programs and support of allied golf organizations in Nebraska.
