NGA Launches New Website
The Nebraska Golf Association has launched a new website with the goal of providing great and easy-to-use resources for all golfers in the state.
The new website, designed by JM Web Designs, features a fresh, modern look that will perform excellently in the mobile environment, along with many other devices. The site features four main categories for those visiting, including Clubs, Members, Competitions and Play Golf. See the highlights below to learn about some things you should check out.
Clubs
This section is designed for current and prospective member clubs, outlining the NGA's club services and how to become a member club. Also, one of the main features of this section is the new Course Directory, which includes all golf courses in the state and gives golfers an opportunity to find courses in eight different regions across the state. Visitors can search for golf courses by region, city, club type, if the course has a driving range, or the number of holes at the facility, or simply by a keyword. NGA Member Clubs are specially identified, and these facilities can display photos and videos on their course page. Each course also includes club information and hole-by-hole yardages for each set of tees, along with current USGA Course and Slope Ratings. This is a great resource for clubs to display their facility and for golfers to find a course to play or join.
Members
The NGA is the largest community of golfers in the state, and this section is all about them. Golfers can join or renew their membership, post scores, download the NGA Mobile App, learn about their USGA Handicap Index®, or take advantage of some of our NGA Member Benefits, like Affinity Travel or catching up on Nebraska Golfer.
Competitions
The NGA conducts several competitions for all types of golfers, and this is the home for them all. The Schedule will display the current year's list of competitions conducted by the NGA, including Championships, USGA Qualifiers and more. Golfers can click on each championship or event to see that competition's specific page, with information on entry, schedule, pairings, scoring, history and more. At the top of the schedule is a button that will link to our online entry system. There's a page for Point Standings, and another for our listing of Point Tournaments, if you're looking to move up in the Point Standings. Play Golf
Play Golf is all about providing opportunities for every golfer to enjoy the game. Starting with juniors, we have Youth on Course, which allows junior golfers to play rounds of golf for just $5 or less! Nebraska Junior Golf has even more opportunities for young golfers to get involved. Women's Golf and Senior Golf provide some avenues for both segments to play and compete, all across the state.
