Youth on Course

There is now another way to join Youth on Course and enjoy additional benefits. Nebraska Junior Golf membership will include Youth on Course again this year for one convenient membership that includes everything junior golf in the state. So, if you plan on joining Nebraska Junior Golf, there is no need to join Youth on Course directly. Nebraska Junior Golf membership is open at nebraskajuniorgolf.com. If you do not wish to play in competitions or be part of NJG this year, then you can go ahead an purchase the Youth on Course membership below.

Online Application

Youth on Course is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. Private funding makes it possible for members to have access to play for $5 or less through subsidies to thousands of courses throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.

Members have the opportunity to succeed through Youth on Course programs: DRIVE Club, Careers on Course, Leadership Council and College Scholarships. In addition, Youth on Course has an Alumni Network which extends membership to those 19 and older. This elevated membership offers opportunities for young adults to connect at complementary events, access exclusive deals, find jobs, and much more.

  • Becoming a Youth on Course member is easy and affordable, and memberships are good for a full 365 days from signup.
  • Junior golfers are eligible until their 19th birthday.
  • After signing up, you’ll complete a brief curriculum which gets you a membership card. From there, you can hit the links!
  • NOTE: Youth on Course will no longer deliver physical membership cards. Instead, Youth on Course members are encouraged to use one of the two options below to Print a Card or download the Youth on Course Member App in order to utilize their membership.

Host Facilities

View the Youth on Course Course Map below to see all the participating facilities. Youth on Course Members MUST call ahead and make a tee time AND identify themselves as a Youth on Course member to receive the $5 rate. Specific restrictions on when rounds can be played are included for each facility. If you're interested in getting a course involved with Youth on Course, contact Ben Vigil at bvigil@nebgolf.org.

Program

The core purpose of Youth on Course is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf.

Youth 18-and-under become a member of NebGolf by registering online for just $25. They get a membership number and can begin establishing a handicap. Youth who participate in Youth on Course are all “course ready”.

The Youth on Course membership gives members access to all courses participating in the United States, including more than 25 facilities in Nebraska. As a member, they play for $5 or less at participating courses during designated times. There is no limit to how often members can play using their Youth on Course membership.

 

Funding

Youth on Course is based on the following formula. NebGolf negotiates a preferred junior golf rate with the participating facility. Youth on Course members have access to participating facilities where they can play for $5 or less. The Nebraska Golf Foundation subsidizes the difference between the preferred rate and the member payment.

 

Duration

Youth on Course is available year-round.

Support

The Youth on Course program is supported by the Nebraska Golf Foundation.

The NebGolf negotiates a preferred junior golf rate with participating facilities. The Youth on Course member pays a $5 (or less) fee for a round of golf (for 9 or 18 hole rounds). The NGF then subsidizes the difference between the preferred rate and the member payment.

Other Access

Below is a list of other affordable ways for juniors to get out on the course and play golf around the state. This is not a complete list of junior rates in the state, but if you would like to include your course's junior rates below, please contact Ben Vigil at bvigil@nebgolf.org.

Junior Golf Club of Omaha

To cultivate the next generation of golfers, in 2014 the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department created the Junior Golf Club of Omaha. This program allows kids aged 8 to 14 to play FREE GOLF Monday through Friday and on weekends when accompanied by a paying adult at all city operated 9-hole golf courses (Spring Lake GC, Steve Hogan GC, Warren Swigart GC and Westwood GC). To receive a Junior Golf Club Players Card you must attend one of the Certification Clinics.

 

Cross Creek Golf Links, Cambridge

Kids under the age of 18 years that reside within a 20 mile radius or are a part of the Cambridge School System play for free.

 

Indian Trails Country Club, Beemer

Full membership for juniors (18 & under) is just $100 for the year.

 

Miracle Hill Golf Course, Omaha

Rates for juniors (17 & younger) are just $21 for 18 holes walking, or $15 for 9 holes, after 2 p.m.

Monument Shadows Golf Course, Gering

Rates for juniors (8th grade & under) are just $15 for 18 holes walking, or $10 for 9 holes.

 

Oakland Golf Club

A Student membership for juniors (18 & under) is just $200 for the year.

 

Tiburon Golf Club, Omaha

Rates for juniors (17 & under) are just $23 for 18 holes walking, or $16 for 9 holes.

 

The Pines Country Club, Valley

Rates for juniors are just $15 for 18 holes walking, or $10 for 9 holes, Monday through Thursday.

 

Tregaron Golf Course, Bellevue

Rates for juniors are just $15 for 18 holes walking, or $10 for 9 holes, Monday through Friday. Annual Junior Passes are just $249.
