2024 NebGolf Junior All-Star Team Announced
Karmazin, Gutschewski Headline All-Stars
OMAHA (November 11, 2024) - The Nebraska Golf Association’s 2024 Junior All-Star Team has been announced and includes team captains Julia Karmazin of Omaha and Trevor Gutschewski of Omaha.
Members were selected based upon their performance in state and/or national tournaments and select team events this past season. In addition, other criteria considered include a player’s integrity and conduct both on and off the golf course.

Julia Karmazin of Omaha, is the only repeat selection, making her third straight team, all as captain. The graduate of Elkhorn North High School swept the NebGolf girls' championships and is now competing for Creighton University. Elly Honnens of Lincoln, KayLynn Jorgensen of Minden, Naryn Kim of Lincoln and Olivia Lovegrove of Lincoln are all first-time selections.
Four players return on the boys' side from last year's team, including captain Trevor Gutschewski of Omaha, the 2024 U.S. Junior Amateur Champion. It's a third-straight selection for Gutschewski, a senior at Omaha Westside who is committed to the University of Florida. Omaha's Jackson Benge, a Westside graduate now competing for the Huskers, also makes his third-consecutive team. They are just the fifth and sixth players to make three all-star teams on the boys' side. Ashland's Coltrane Mittag, the Low Junior at the 2024 Nebraska Amateur, returns from last year's team, as does the 2024 Nebraska Junior Amateur and Nebraska Match Play Champion, Beau Petersen of Gretna. Mittag, who is homeschooled and in the class of 2026, recently committed to the University of Oklahoma. Petersen, a graduate of Gretna High School, is now competing for Northern Illinois University. Omaha's Sam Vocelka, a Millard North graduate who is now competing for the Omaha Mavericks, is the lone first-time selection.
