LEMEK
REPEATS, FOURTH CHAMPIONSHIP IN A ROW

- Danielle Lemek of Doniphan was a repeat champion at the 10th
Nebraska Girls Junior Amateur Championship Tuesday. The win was
her fourth consecutive state championship having claimed two girl's
match play titles in 2009 and 2010.
Lemek,
who began the day tied with McKayla Anderson of Fremont at 8-over
par, chipped in on the first hole for birdie to take the lead
and never looked back posting a second round 75 - the tournament's
low round. Jacqueline O'Doherty of Lincoln finished runner-up
at 161. Anderson dropped to sixth.
Lemek
will compete at the U.S. Girl's Junior Junior Amateur Championship
in North Carolina next week. She will be a junior at Doniphan
-Trumball in the fall and is eligible for this championship for
two more years.
