Columbus - Lincoln's Kate Strickland captured her first title, winning the 18th Nebraska Girls' Amateur Championship at Elks Country Club on Friday. Strickland, who is just 14-years-old and will be a freshman this fall, put together a final round of 75 (+3) to win by two strokes with a 153 (+9) total. Wahoo's Lauren Thiele, also just 14-years-old, finished runner-up at 155 (+11). Link to the Scoring tab above for full final results.
