UNK WINS SHORTENED INTERCOLLEGIATE

Norfolk - The University of Nebraska-Kearney came ready to play at the 2017 Nebraska Intercollegiate at Norfolk Country Club. The tournament was shortened to 18 holes due to heavy rain on Friday, and it was UNK's day on Saturday. The Lopers won the team title by three strokes with a 299 (+11) total, led by junior Jay Cottam, who tied for the low round of the day, a 70 (-2) and also had a hole-in-one on No. 14. Cottam lost in a play-off, along with Midland University's Hunter Giesselmann, to teammate Riley Williams, who was playing as an individual for UNK. Link to the Scoring tab above for full results.
